How has the career of McCullum been?
McCullum was the best scorer and one of the best batsman in Twenty20 International format when he used to play and is one of only two Kiwi players to have scored two T20I centuries and 2000 runs in T20I.
He scored 123 against Bangladesh in the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 which is till date the greatest score by a New Zealand player in the T20I format, as well as the highest score by a batsman in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
On 18 February 2014, he became the first New Zealand player to score a triple century in a Test when he went on to score 302 runs against India. He was also the first New Zealand player to have scored 1000 test runs in a calendar year in 2014.
McCullum was the first T20I batsman to score two centuries in the format.
