How has the international career of Parthiv been?
He made his debut in the year 2002 against England and went on to become the youngest Indian wicket keeper to make his debut for the Indian cricket team when he was just 17 years and 153 days old. He batted for an hour and helped India escape a defeat by a narrow margin. However, after the emergence of MS Dhoni, he hardly got any chance to play until 2004.
On 23rd November 2016, he was called back for the Indian test team after 8 years. He made his ODI Debut against New Zealand in 2003 and was included in the World Cup squad for the 2003 World Cup but did not get the chance to play as the present Indian Coach Rahul Dravid was used as a wicket keeper to make way for a specialist batsman or bowler.
He did not get much chances and only got the chance to play when Rahul Dravid was either injured or rested. In a span of 2 years, he only played 13 ODI matches and had the top score of 28 runs only.
